M-1 MOTORWAY SECRETS EXPOSED | SHOCKING TRUTH BEHIND THE PROJECT
The Islamabad-Peshawar (M-1) Motorway is an east-west motorway in Pakistan, connecting Peshawar to Islamabad-Rawalpindi and part of Pakistan Motorways.
M-1 Motorway is a gateway way from Pakistan to Afghanistan, Iran, Central Asia and Europe. It helps in trade, communication and other bi-letteral relations. Motorways of Pakistan are the part of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
The motorway was constructed during President Pervez Musharraf's rule at a cost of Rs.13 billion in 2023), and was opened in October 2007. It spans 155 km with 88 km in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 67 km in Punjab.
Work on M-1 was started during Nawaz Sharif's tenure in 1997, and the contract was awarded to Turkish company Bayindar. However, the work stopped after his government was dismissed by Army Chief Gen. Pervez Musharraf in October 1999. Progress remained very slow and not much work was done between 1999 and 2003.
Work restarted in 2003 after the contract was re-awarded to a consortium PMC-JV during President Pervez Musharraf's tenure. A plan was made to connect the existing M-2 motorway with the Torkham border. In 2004, the Senate body was briefed on a plan to connect Gwadar Port with the existing motorway infrastructure. Hence, it highlighted importance of M-1 motorway in this context.
It was completed at a cost of Rs. 13 billion, and was inaugurated by President Pervez Musharraf on 30 October 2007.

Prime Minister Huseyn Suhrawardy established the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) in March 1956. Its first chair was Nazir Ahmad - an experimental physicist. Other members of the PAEC included Technical member Salimuzzaman Siddiqui, an organic chemist at the University of Karachi, and Raziuddin Siddiqui, a mathematical physicist at the same university. Together, they both took charge of the research and development directorates of the commission. In 1958, Abdus Salam of the University of the Punjab also joined the commission, along with Munir Ahmad Khan who initially lobbied for acquiring an open pool reactor from the United States.

This information is included in video. This canal actually made for Baluchistan, and the total part in Baluchistan is about 194 km. That phase-1which is 94KM in Dera Bughti (completed). Other 2 phases are in Nasirabad, Kachi and Jhal Magsi districts that are not yet completed even not constructed.
